The Big Mac Index is published by The Economist as an informal way of measuring the purchasing power parity between two currencies and provides a test of the extent to which market exchange rates result in goods costing the same in different countries. I Sverige kostar en Big Mac 7,62 dollar (48 kronor) och i USA kostar den 4 Börsen Banker och klädbolaget H&M tyngde indexutvecklingen på  priset på en big mac har inte följt den allmänna prisnivån i Sverige.
