Einen mittleren Katzensprung südöstlich folgt schon die nächste der schottischen Whisky-Inseln, die Isle of Jura. Das dünn besiedelte Eiland beherbergt offiziell seit 1963 die gleichnamige (schon wieder) Brennerei. Ob es die Schotten waren oder doch die Iren, die den Whisky „erfunden“ haben, wird sich wohl nicht zweifelsfrei klären lassen.
